My little birthday girl!! It was a wonderful day. Started the day swimming and you fell asleep in my arms and I held you and remembered all the times you slept there as an infant. It was my favorite moment of the day. It ended with all of us singing and you double-fisting ice cream treats. So fun!!

We drove 8 HOURS to Pelion and you were amazing!!! It got a little bit difficult at the end, but who could blame you?? It would be hard on anybody. The best was your exhausted dancing to the techno beat when we arrived at the hotel. It's my favorite thing in the world to watch you dance. It's incredible how the beat moves you.

Ok, so I guess this is payback. I actually want to go home. This is too much for a little 2-year-old. Won't be back to Greece until you're 12, or travel anywhere else for that matter.

Went to visit Archodiko Prepalla in Neochori and then to one of the most amazing beaches, Plaka. I was surprised you had no interest in going into the water, maybe you take after your dad and don't like waves, but you had fun playing in the sand. It was such a joy watching you.

We're completely failing you with the naps. Hoping it'll get back to normal when we get home. You only wanted to sleep in my arms, which was tragically impossible for me, as my back is killing me from bruising my tailbone, and you wouldn't go to your father, which was strange. Happy to say, though, your fear of waves has past and you love playing in the water and sitting on the beach feeling the waves wash over you.

My biggest nightmare...you've figured out how to crawl out of the crib, or parko, as they call the portable crib in Greece. I got to rock you to sleep, but you protested everytime I tried to put you down. Unfortunately, you're very heavy now, not like when you were an infant. The earlier part of the day was per usual, hardly a nap and lots of sun, beach and delicious food.

You have a little friend, Eleni, who is 4, and it's so fun to see you interacting with her. She's like the master and you're her apprentice. You follow her around trying to do what she is doing. And watching you try to talk is so cute. I would be remiss if I didn't mention your (not) menacing growl. When you get upset you make this sound that's supposed to indicate frustration and annoyance, but it only elicits smiles and laughter from everyone.

Yay!! You got a proper nap: 2 1/2 hours. You definitely needed it, and I felt like I almost had my usual, sweet baby back. This terrible-twos is no joke, and I know it's completely exacerbated by this vacation and lack of napping. You spent more time with Eleni at the beach and earlier it was so fun watching you running after the older kids, Yiannis and Alexia. I just love watching you play with your new friends.

Lots of cuddling on the beach today. We went back to Plaka, this time with your new friends, Yiannis and Alexia (Eleni left today). You were a bit scared of the water, though. Probably because of what happened the other day when we were surprised and attacked by the waves. At the time you seemed fine and didn't cry. You also refused your bath, so we will see what happens the rest of the trip.

What an amazing day today. We took a boat with Georgos and Marina and met up with our Dubai friends at a spectacular beach. It was so incredible, and I'm happy to report your love of water is back. It was so fun to sit with you on the rocky shore and enjoy the gorgeous, perfect water. We then went to where Mamma Mia was filmed and you fell asleep in my arms, and I was able to enjoy a peaceful lunch while you slept on two chairs. Very typical Greek scenario. Love you like craziness!!!

If it's possible, I seriously love you more and more everyday. You were so sweet and even went to sleep right away. We went back to Horefto, to a different region today, and at first you didn't want to get in, but you eventually did and then didn't want to get out. A woman made this comment to you: "You are the most beautiful girl on the beach." And I couldn't agree more, my doll. <3
